ARTECITYA AGENCY LAUNCHFollowing almost a year of field work and preparatory meetings with the city’s arts and culture agents, Artecitya Thessaloniki officially kick-starts the ARTECITYA AGENCY activities, which include: (click on the titles for more info)
Goethe’s Dream Three site-specific works – commissions to artists Giorgos Gyparakis, Alexandros Psychoulis and Theodoros Zafeiropoulos, especially for Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki. During the presentation, the artists themselves will talk about their works in a special guided tour. The Unlearning Series Lectures and workshops, aiming to provide the knowledge, tools and inspiration to develop contemporary cultural practices, in order to participate in the complex spatial state of today’s reality, using the materials and strategies of philosophy, critical geography, political theory and contemporary art. A concept by art theorist Eleni Garoufalia, realised in the framework of Artecitya in collaboration with Rania Emmanouilidou (les yper yper). Innovation Gym A practical crash course that teaches participants how to get new and innovative ideas, how to select and predict which of their ideas will succeed, and how to design the blueprints and plans of their idea in a rapid-mapping approach. |
